Opportunity
A company from the UK approached us to employ a citizen of Croatia in Belgium so that he can continue working for the company. There is freedom of movement within the EU but some countries place restrictions on certain nationalities. Normally one could hire an employee in another country through an A1 form.
Unfortunately, in order to obtain the A1 form through their UK legal entity they had to provide a work permit for the Croatian to work in the UK. This was too cumbersome so they were looking for an alternative solution.
Solution
We managed to employ the Croatian national in Belgium through our Express Employment Solution. We arranged employment and onboarding, payroll and managed all benefits and expenses.
Result
After we received all relevant paperwork, we were able to employ the Croatian within a week. He started working in Belgium within two weeks.
Both the employee and the UK company were happy with the fast execution of the project.
