Kazakhstan is ready to invest in European energy projects
Kazakhstan is also ready to invest in European energy projects. This was said during a conference in the framework of INOGATE by the Vice-Minister of Oil and Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan Magzum Mirzagaliev.
“Kazakhstan will enter the European market and plans to invest in capital projects of strategic interest for the country. As you know, a certain experience we already have – is the acquisition of the Romanian group Rompetrol, which occupies a large share of the Romanian market and operates in North-Eastern Europe”- said Deputy Minister.
Magzum Mirzagaliev noted that Kazakhstan is the third energy supplier in Europe among non-OPEC countries, after Russia and Norway. Deputy Minister noted that in 2013 Kazakhstan produced about 82 million tons, of which about 10-12 mln tons is shipped to China and about 10 mln is consumed by the domestic market. The rest is sold to the European Union. “We are ready to cooperate further with the European Union in supplies of hydrocarbons, which ultimately will contribute to the energy security of European countries”, – concluded the Kazakh Vice Minister of Oil.
